Clanfield Centre café gets a revamp and new name in honour of local legend
The Clanfield Centre has unveiled the exciting transformation of its café, now proudly named Brewster’s Café.
The community voted for this new name from over 100 suggestions, honouring Brewster, a service dog who was a cherished companion of café regular Matt.
Following Matt’s passing in 2022, Brewster has retired from service but remains well-loved in the community.
Natasha Glover, Clanfield Centre Manager, said: “So many people suggested some great names, but Brewster’s Cafe won our hearts! Brewster is one of our favourite regulars.
“Brewster’s Café is more than just a place to enjoy a coffee, it’s a community hub and a welcoming space for all – including our furry friends!”
The revamped café is now a fresh and inviting space with a new sign design, reupholstered benches and stylish wall tiles.
Brewster’s features an expanded menu that includes a new ice cream freezer offering twelve delicious flavours.
The pastry menu is also growing, with new Posh Croissants filled with almond, pistachio, Biscoff and chocolate, and gluten-free and vegan options added to cater to all dietary needs. Alternative milks are available at no extra cost, and coffee is supplied by Winchester Coffee Roasters.
Every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm, customers can enjoy a free slice of homemade cake with any hot drink purchase as part of Chatty Thursdays. Additionally, the café hosts a technology support drop-in session on Mondays at 1:30 pm to assist with tech queries like using your phone or tablet and offers Clanfield Creates, a craft session every Monday morning from 10am to 1pm. Guests are welcome to bring their own crafts or use the café’s materials while enjoying a coffee.
Brewster’s Café is open seven days a week for breakfast, a quick coffee or lunch and free Wi-Fi is available.
