We had our first-ever car boot sale at the weekend, thank you to everyone who joined us!
Sunday the 29th of September, saw our first ever ‘RE-BOOT Sale’. The purpose of this event was to spread awareness about the benefits of buying pre-loved and second-hand items and reducing waste. Did you know that every year the fashion industry uses enough water to fill 37 million Olympic sized swimming pools?
We were very curious about the interest of the event and when better for it than Secondhand September and with 400+ people interested in the Facebook event alone, the numbers speak! We were so glad to see so many join us on the day even with the terrible weather.
With over 30 sellers signed up to take part, the weather didn’t put off even more who paid on the day! There were some amazing finds among the items on offer including vintage comic books, designer clothing, and antiques such as cameras, guitars, and jewelry. There were some really great hidden gems.
With all of this happening on the field, The Clanfield Centre opened its doors for an all-day Bounce and Play event, with Brewster’s cafe serving bacon and sausage sandwiches, hot drinks and some delicious homemade cakes.
To put the icing on the cake or better to say, pepperoni on the pizza, Rita’s Pizza and Ollie’s Ice’z even came down to support the event, thank you both!
